BioFauna Exotics, owned and operated by Chris Law and Abby Malvestuto, is dedicated to providing high quality, captive bred exotic animals for first time owners, collectors, and investors alike. The company has 30 years of combined passion and experience, and in addition to being the owners and operators of Roaming Reptiles of Central Florida, a company focused on educational outreach and conservation, we are also members of the Chicago Herpetological Society, Global Gecko Association the American Tarantula Society, and USARK.

Chris has been keeping reptiles since 2000 and has been involved in a variety of reptile rescue and rehabilitation capacities over the last decade ranging from operating his own reptile rescue and rehabilitation service in Columbus, OH, to working with other private and State organizations to not only help transport animals in need all over the United States, but also provide other services which aid said organizations in their endeavors to offer the very best for their charges. Chris has a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences and uses his experience from both physical and academic elements to help others appreciate these amazing animals.

Hailing from the Chicagoland area, Abby Malvestuto has been keeping reptiles since 2001. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology, has held positions as a veterinary technician, and has interned at a long list of AZA accredited institutions throughout the Chicagoland area including the Shedd Aquarium’s prestigious “Amazon Rising” exhibit and herpetology department. She has a wide variety of experiences working with large, small, and exotic animals, but focuses a great deal of her time in breeding and outreach efforts with herps. She has been published in Reptiles Magazine for her work with Lygodactylus williamsi (December, 2011) and again with a photographic contribution in Natural History of Neotropical Treeboas (R. Henderson, 2015). Abby’s first and primary passion is Boidae, where she is currently focusing on Corallus hortulanus genetic research. Additionally, she also keeps, breeds, and has worked with a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. She seeks to utilize her experience and knowledge to help others understand and appreciate herps through her successes as a keeper, breeder, and animal educator.

We pride ourselves in ensuring the absolute highest quality animals! As such, each animal purchased from us comes complete with a health and genetic guarantee as well as a full pedigree. In order to see to this end, this is what you can expect from BioFauna Exotics:

  • Our breeding animals are carefully chosen based on temperament, locality and/or genetics.
  • We do not inbreed. There will be no sibling pairings or parent to offspring pairings. We realize that this can limit us on producing specific “morphs” and we’re okay with that.
  • We do not “hybridize” or cross sub-species. Again, this might limit us on certain morphs that we’re able to produce and we’re just fine with that. We want clean genetics so we can tell you exactly what you’re buying from us. We hope you share the same values.
  • Our animals are produced with a great deal of pride. We want you to be 100% confident in the animals you purchase from us.

We have a lot of exciting new projects coming that we look forward to announcing soon! We can say with absolute certainty that at BioFauna Exotics you will *always* get what you pay for! Our prices may not be the cheapest, however, we will ALWAYS have reliably healthy, high quality animals. We look forward to speaking with you and providing you with not only great service, but with great animals that you will be proud to have in your collection for years to come!

Sincerely,

Chris and Abby
